How much staff time do we need to give you?
Close to zero. We handle testing, reports, billing, and payouts. Your role is one staff contact for coordination and your member list (if you want to promote internally).
Do you need power or special ventilation?
No special outlet, no special venting. Standard 120 V if available, but the metabolic cart is fully portable. ~40 ft² of open floor with normal indoor airflow is enough.
How fast do we get paid?
Next business day via ACH for any booking that came through Yousuli. If you prefer to handle billing yourself (useful for upselling testing into your existing programs), we can structure that too.
Can we white-label the reports?
Yes, co-branded PDFs are available for partners running recurring days. Your logo lockup alongside Yousuli’s on every report.
Can we set a different revenue split?
The 30% flat share is the default and what most partners run on. Higher splits are possible when you handle billing, drive 100% of the bookings, or commit to multi-day cadence. Talk to us.
What happens if we can’t fill all 8 slots?
We bring outside athletes. Yousuli has a member list and event presence (Wildflower, UCSD Tritonman, Stanford Treeathlon, etc.) we can route to your day. Empty slots are usually a planning issue, not a demand issue.
Who owns the data?
The athlete owns their data. We provide them the report. Aggregated, anonymized data may be used for Yousuli research and content with consent. Your facility doesn’t own member testing data unless we set up a separate data-sharing agreement.
Are there contraindications?
Standard exclusions for maximal exercise testing apply (uncontrolled cardiovascular conditions, recent acute illness, etc.). We screen pre-test and follow USAT and ACSM safety protocols. Insurance covers all sessions.
What if I want to handle billing or upsell?
Plenty of partners use testing as a lead-in for coaching, programs, or memberships. We can hand you the booking flow, you handle payment and upsell. Revenue split adjusts when you run billing.
Do I have to sell assessments to my clients?
Not at all. Many partners simply host the day and let Yousuli promote to its own audience. Your members benefit by having on-site access. Anything beyond “here’s a flyer” is optional.
How many partners are you taking on?
We’re geographic-density-limited. One partner per zip code area for monthly cadence, or two for quarterly. Greater LA is the current focus, with plans to expand SoCal.
What’s the main benefit to Yousuli of bringing outside clients to your facility?
Testing days work best with full calendars. Your members make the day reliable; outside clients bring volume. Your facility wins reputation and revenue; we win throughput. It’s genuinely a both-ways exchange.
Do you offer free demos?
Yes, we can run a single complimentary VO₂max for you and one staff member during the first scheduled testing day. Useful for talking to clients afterward from direct experience.
Clinics or workshops?
Available. We can pair a testing day with a 60–90 min education clinic on zones, fueling, or recovery for your members. Run as part of the day, separately, or virtually.
Are there discounts for veterans or disabled athletes?
Yes. Yousuli’s Supported Athletes program covers reduced-rate testing and coaching for committed para-athletes and elite athletes facing higher participation costs. Email us for current criteria.
Can we take pictures and use them for promotion?
Yes, we encourage it, with athlete consent. Photos of the testing day, your space, and our equipment can run on your site, social, or printed materials. We can also share photos taken during the day.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. Before the first testing day you’ll receive a COI naming your facility as additional insured. If your ops team has specific coverage minimums, send them over and we’ll confirm before anything goes on the calendar.
Is there a contract?
A short agreement in plain English: the revenue share, the schedule, insurance and liability, and how either side ends it. No exclusivity required on your side, and future dates can be cancelled with two weeks’ notice.
I’m a trainer here, not the owner. Can I still make this happen?
Often you’re the best person to. Bring the one-page summary to your owner or GM, and if it helps I’ll join a ten-minute call with them. Trainers who champion a testing day usually end up using the results to build their own programming clientele, and that part is 100% yours.
