Supported athletes program

Preferred coaching for elite and para-athletes.

Discounted rates · serious commitment · long-term projects

High-performance and para sport are expensive, races, travel, gear, classification, time off work. Yousuli reserves a limited number of supported coaching spots for athletes with clear goals and the willingness to do the work.

Why this exists

The athletes who could benefit most from structured coaching are often the ones least able to afford it.

01

Real participation costs

Race entries, travel, equipment, classification, and time off work add up fast. Coaching shouldn’t be the line item that breaks the budget.

02

Skin in the game both ways

Supported athletes commit to structured training, consistent data, and clear goals. Yousuli commits reduced rates, full Lab and club access, and help navigating grants and funds.

03

Quality over volume

A small number of supported spots at any given time. The point is meaningful long-term projects, not a discount drive-thru.

Who it’s for

Two pathways. Different criteria, same standards of commitment and follow-through.

Elite & performance-oriented

Athletes with national-level targets

Competing (or aiming to compete) at national or international level, or racing in strong age-group fields with clear performance targets, championship qualification, podiums, regional records.

  • National or international competition pathway
  • OR strong age-group with championship-qualification targets
  • Willing to follow structured training and provide data consistently

Para athletes

Committed to training, regardless of starting point

Athletes with a physical, visual, or cognitive impairment training for triathlon, cycling, running, or related endurance sports. You don’t need to already be a Paralympian. You don’t even need to call yourself an athlete yet.

  • The base requirement is a desire to learn and participate
  • The para-triathlon community is extremely supportive
  • Official race distance is sprint, widely accessible even with limited experience

Pricing & commitment

Set up so the rate works for serious athletes, not month-to-month tourists.

Typical supported rate
$150

Per month, billed monthly. Some cases may differ slightly based on support level, testing needs, and grants in play.

Minimum commitment
6 months

Long enough to build, test, and adjust the plan. 3-month structures are possible in special cases but not standard.

Spots
Limited

A small number of supported athletes at any given time. Quality of attention beats roster size.

Exact terms depend on your situation, sport, race calendar, testing needs, classification. We’ll confirm everything in writing before you start. Comparable Yousuli coaching memberships run $200 – $350 / month for non-supported athletes.

How to apply

Three steps. Honest read of fit on both sides before any commitment.

01

Send your application

Tell us about your sport, race history, classification (if applicable), and goals for the next 12–18 months. The more specific the better, vague applications get vague replies.

02

Short call (15–20 min)

We review your application and discuss whether Yousuli is the right fit and what support level makes sense. Honest read both ways. If we’re not the right coach, we’ll say so.

03

Start your plan

If accepted, you begin coaching at the agreed supported rate, with the same expectations and standards as any other Yousuli athlete. First test, first data, first block.

Ready to apply?

Send a message through the Yousuli contact form with your sport, level, classification (if applicable), race targets, and any grant funding in play. We reply within 1–2 business days.

Include: sport · classification · race history · 12–18 month goals · current coaching status.

FAQ

Common questions before applying.

Do I need to be a professional or Paralympian?

No. Many supported athletes are high-level age-groupers or para-athletes at national or regional level. What matters most is your commitment, race goals, and willingness to do the work. For elite-track applicants, we do look for performance benchmarks that suggest meaningful international potential.

Is $150 / month guaranteed?

$150 is the typical supported rate for elite and para-athletes. In some cases the exact amount may differ slightly based on your support level, testing needs, and any grant funding already in play. Anything different from the standard rate is confirmed in writing before you start.

How long does support last?

If we’re a match, we typically agree on an initial block of 6–12 months, then review. If your situation changes, a job, an injury, a relocation, we may adjust the structure or wind down the supported arrangement. No surprise fee jumps.

What if I don’t qualify?

You’re still welcome to join the Yousuli Social Club, do testing at standard rates, or start with one of our standard coaching memberships ($200 / $350 per month). The supported program is one path; not the only path.

Do you cover any costs other than coaching fees?

Direct subsidies on race entries or travel aren’t standard. We do help athletes navigate grants, federation funding, sponsorship, and partner perks (Yousuli Social Club discounts on gear, swim equipment, etc.). For para-athletes specifically, we have lines into specific funding bodies and can guide applications.

Can I be coached remotely?

Yes, a meaningful portion of supported coaching is online. In-person testing days at the Performance Lab or partner facilities are part of the structure but the day-to-day prescription, feedback, and adjustments work fully remotely.
